Our house is still a wreck as the furniture company never brought us the proper dressers for the bedroom. They are supposed to do it today, but I have a feeling that they are dragging things out so that they will not have to reimburse our money. Andy insists that if they do not come today, he's going to go down there and demand our money and not leave until he gets it.
Otherwise, everything is still piled into my study and in the front room because I refuse to put one item of clothing into those atrocious dressers. The moral of the story is, DO NOT BUY FURNITURE FROM AMERICAN FREIGHT.
Life is otherwise, pretty good. I am making progress on the dissertation and Yael and I are going to start exchanging 5-10 pages of writing every week as a way to have some motivation to write. It will also keep is abreast of each other's work.
We have a party on Saturday at Andy's cousin for which I have to make cookies and guacamole. We also have to buy costumes...not full costumes, just something to go along with the characters we've been assigned. Henry is coming and he's going dressed as Andy's mule.
I feel confident that once we get our place organized and I can use my study again, I will feel more inspired. In the meantime, I need to clear a space on the couch and finish some reading today.
