Forgive Me Sona, for I Have Sinned

I purchased a bottle of wine because I want the blue bottle when it is finished: a 2006 Bridgeview Blue Moon Riesling. I do not drink white wine so I suppose it is as good a reason as any to buy it. However, blog to which you referred me a couple of weeks ago gave the 2004 an excellent review. For that reason I am feeling less guilty, but I will happily perform any penance that you dictate even if it involves imbibing a white wine of your choosing. Andy likes Riesling and on the chance that his cousin prefers white to red I am happy to have something to offer.

In other wine buying news, I finally found a store that sells Tohu's Pino Noir and I am beyond ecstatic. I had this at the Floataway Cafe some time ago and was disappointed to find out that most retailers only stock Tohu's Sauvingnon Blanc and Chardonnay. I was so thrilled that I thanked the employee who was working in the aisle. As it turns out, he was the one who placed that particular order and was glad that someone noticed.

The other thing I purchased at this particular store was the most pretentious loaf of bread I have ever seen: a rustique artisan loaf. Rustique? Originally, and on the advice of some friends, I was going to serve pita or naan with the lamb kabobs but none of the bread was fresh and I didn't feel like driving to the ethnic bakery (which may not even exist anymore) after already stopping at three stores. Also, I am completely stuck on the idea of making the roasted garlic oil and wanted a hearty bread to dunk.

It's actually a pretty tasty bottle! Good choice based on packaging ;)
