I use the chopper attachment on my Cuisinart SmartStick Hand Blender almost every evening to chop garlic. As a result, and despite the fact that I rinse it immediately when I am finished, there is a lingering garlic odour. I have found the following solutions, which I plan to try this afternoon:
1. Lemon juice
2. Paste of baking soda and water
3. Vinegar rinse.
*UPDATE*
1. The lemon juice did not work. It took the edge off a bit but there is still a slight lingering smell.
